POEMS SG login: how to sign in, fix 2FA and reset your password (2026)

A POEMS SG login is just your Phillip Securities account number plus a password and, since 14 June 2025, a one-time code from two-factor authentication. The same credentials work across every Phillip platform: POEMS Mobile (the app), POEMS 2.0 (the web trader at www27.poems.com.sg) and POEMS Pro (the desktop application). What trips people up in 2026 is the 2FA layer, not the password. If you cannot get past the login screen, the cause is almost always a Digital Token that was never paired, an SMS one-time password going to an old number, or an account locked after too many tries. This guide walks through each sign-in route, how to switch on the token, and how to reset a password or retrieve a lost account number without waiting on the hotline.

Where the POEMS SG login actually lives

Phillip Securities runs three trading front-ends and they all share one set of credentials, so there is no separate username per platform. Pick the one that matches how you trade and sign in with the same account number and password.

The web platform, POEMS 2.0, sits at www27.poems.com.sg/Account/Login. The app, listed on the App Store and Google Play as POEMS SG, is the fastest route for most retail investors because it can hold your 2FA token on the device. POEMS Pro is the downloadable desktop terminal aimed at active traders who want customisable layouts and faster order entry.

Your account number is the login ID, not your email or NRIC. If you opened your account through the CDP and brokerage account process, the number was issued in your welcome pack and ePIN mailer. Keep it somewhere retrievable, because every reset path below asks for it.

The 2FA step that blocks most logins

Phillip made two-factor authentication mandatory for all trading accounts from 14 June 2025. After that date you cannot reach any POEMS platform with a password alone. Every login now needs a second code, and the cleanest way to generate it is the POEMS Digital Token built into the app.

The Digital Token is a software 2FA tool embedded in the POEMS SG app (and the older POEMS Mobile 2.0). Once it is paired to your phone, logging in from that same phone authenticates in the background with no code to type. Logging in on POEMS 2.0 or POEMS Pro then asks for an on-screen code that the app generates, which replaces the slower SMS one-time password.

Setting up the Digital Token

If you have not paired a token yet

Without the Digital Token, POEMS falls back to an SMS one-time password at every login. That only works if Phillip has your current mobile number. If your number changed and the OTP never arrives, you have to update your contact details with Phillip before any login will succeed, which is a paperwork step, not a self-service toggle. Pairing the token first avoids that trap.

Resetting a forgotten password

If you have the account number but not the password, use the online password reset service. There are two routes and they differ mainly in speed.

The fast route is by email. You request a reset link, Phillip sends it to your registered email address, you click it and confirm with an SMS OTP. The slow route is by post: Phillip mails a new password to the address on your POEMS particulars record, which takes about 3 to 5 business days. Choose email unless your registered email is also out of date.

Locked out or lost your account number

Two other failures stop a login, and both have a self-service fix through the Phillip chatbot rather than a phone queue.

If you typed the wrong password too many times, the security portal suspends the account. If you still remember the correct password, the chatbot can unsuspend it. If you have forgotten the account number itself, the chatbot can retrieve it for you. The chatbot runs 24/7, so this is usually faster than the hotline.

When self-help fails, the Customer Experience Hotline is (65) 6531 1555, open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12.00am and Saturday 8.30am to 1.00pm. You can also use live chat or visit a Phillip Investor Centre in person.

Opening an account before you can log in

No login exists until you have an account, and Phillip lets Singaporeans and PRs apply online in minutes using their NRIC and a linked local bank account (DBS, POSB, OCBC, UOB or Maybank). You must be at least 18, not a US person, and not an undischarged bankrupt.

During application you pick an account type. The Cash Management account links to your own CDP account so shares you buy are held directly in your name at the depository. The Cash Plus account skips CDP, offers zero US commission and lets you trade up to roughly five times your cash deposit, with shares held in Phillip custody instead. The custody choice matters more than the login screen, because it decides whether dividends and corporate actions reach you directly.

If you want to invest retirement money, POEMS also supports CPF Investment Scheme and SRS trades, which you can size up first with our SRS contribution calculator. For the full cost breakdown of each account, see our companion guide on POEMS fees and account types.

Is POEMS the right place to log in at all?

Access is only worth it if the platform fits your style. A POEMS login opens more than 40,000 products across 26-plus exchanges, with direct CDP custody on the Cash Management account, which suits buy-and-hold investors who want shares in their own name and dividends paid straight to them.

Cost-focused investors who trade US shares often, or who only want a basket of ETFs, may pay less elsewhere. It is worth comparing against a flat-fee global broker like Interactive Brokers and against the hands-off route in our robo-advisor vs DIY ETF comparison before you commit. The login is free; the trade-off is in the commissions and custody model behind it.

Frequently asked questions

What is my POEMS SG login ID?

Your login ID is your Phillip Securities trading account number, not your email or NRIC. It was issued in your welcome pack and ePIN mailer when the account opened. If you have lost it, the Phillip chatbot can retrieve the account number for you 24/7.

Why does POEMS ask for a code every time I log in?

Two-factor authentication has been mandatory for all POEMS trading accounts since 14 June 2025, so every login needs a second code. Pair the POEMS Digital Token inside the app and logins from that phone authenticate in the background without you typing a code.

How do I reset my POEMS password if I forgot it?

Use the online password reset service on poems.com.sg. The email method sends a reset link to your registered address, confirmed by SMS OTP, and works in one session. The postal method mails a new password to your registered address within 3 to 5 business days.

My POEMS account is locked after too many login attempts. What now?

The security portal suspends an account after repeated wrong-password tries. If you still know the correct password, the Phillip chatbot can unsuspend it. If you have forgotten the password as well, run the online password reset instead, then sign back in.
