SingStat publishes monthly averages for 85 items in the CPI basket. In Aug 2026, 10 hen eggs averaged S$3.25, a litre of fresh milk S$3.70, a 5kg bag of premium Thai rice S$14.29 and a kg of chilled whole chicken S$8.62.

Food bought to cook at home rose 3.0% in the year to Aug 2026, by SingStat's CPI. From 2019 to 2025 the yearly change ranged from 1.1% to 5.3%, about 2.6% a year on average.
