Frequently asked questions

Is the Enterprise Development Grant still available?

No. EDG, the Market Readiness Assistance grant and the Productivity Solutions Grant stopped taking applications on 29 Sep 2026. From 30 Sep 2026, businesses apply under the EDGE Grant. Projects already applied for under EDG continue under their old rules until completion and claim.

How much does the EDGE Grant cover?

Up to 50% of qualifying costs for SMEs and 30% for non-SMEs, rising to 70% and 50% for internationalisation and green (sustainability) activities. Each activity page sets its own level and supported costs. GST is never supported.

Is there a cap on EDGE support?

Yes. Each company can receive up to S$100,000 a year across all activities, from 1 April to 31 March, and up to S$30,000 of that for digital solutions and automation. Product development is assessed case by case and does not count towards the S$100,000 cap. Grants under the old EDG, MRA and PSG do not count.

Who counts as an SME?

A company whose group has annual sales of not more than S$100 million, or not more than 200 workers. The group includes companies that own more than 50% of the applicant and companies it owns more than 50% of.

Who can apply for EDGE?

Businesses registered and operating in Singapore with at least 30% ownership by Singapore citizens or PRs, counted through to the individuals who own them. You must not have started work or paid a deposit before applying.

How is the EDGE Grant paid?

As a reimbursement. You complete the project and pay the vendor in full, then submit one final claim. For these activities claims open from 1 Dec 2026; for digital solutions and pre-scoped equipment, from 1 Nov 2026.

What did the old EDG cover?

Third-party consultancy, software and equipment, and internal manpower costs for projects that upgrade capabilities, innovate or expand overseas. From 1 Apr 2023 SMEs received up to 50%, and green projects up to 70%.

Can I use SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit with EDGE?

No. EDGE is not supported under SFEC. For SFEC-supported programmes under the old EDG, MRA and PSG, final claims are due by 30 Nov 2026.
