Compare a private gym membership with ActiveSG's S$2.50 gym entry, S$30 to S$300 passes and pools at your own number of visits, and see the visits a month at which each option pays off.
S$2.50 a visit for Singapore citizen and PR adults, S$1.50 for students and seniors aged 55 and above, and S$3.30 at the standard rate. Singapore citizens aged 65 and above enter free.
A MyActiveGYM peak pass costs S$30 for 1 month, S$160 for 6 months or S$300 for 12 months for adults, and S$18, S$95 or S$180 for students and seniors. An off-peak pass, for weekdays until 4pm except public holidays, costs S$15 a month (S$9 concession).
From 12 visits a month for an adult: 12 visits at S$2.50 cost S$30, the price of a monthly peak pass. Below that, paying per visit is cheaper.
At normal pools, citizen and PR adults pay S$1.00 on weekdays and S$1.30 on weekends and public holidays; children and seniors pay S$0.50 and S$0.60. Pools with special features cost more. A MyActiveSWIM pass is S$10 a month for adults and S$5 for children and seniors.
Singapore citizens aged 65 and above enter ActiveSG gyms and pools free by scanning their NRIC after logging in to MyActiveSG+ once. Seniors aged 55 and above get concession prices on single entry and passes.
Yes, ActiveSG lists gym and swim passes among what credits can pay for, along with facility bookings and some programmes. New citizen and PR members get a one-time S$100 of credits.
All ActiveSG credits, including the SG60 top-up of 2025, were extended to 31 Dec 2026. Unused credits roll over into 2027 if you make at least one booking, registration or pass purchase paid with cash or credits in 2026.
On price alone, a private gym costing S$150 a month equals 60 ActiveSG visits at S$2.50, and one month of it is half the price of a S$300 yearly pass. Classes, opening hours, crowds and distance from home are what you pay the difference for.
