How much MediSave can I use for a hospital stay?

Up to S$1,130 a day for the first two days and S$400 a day after that, plus the surgical limit for any operation. The stay must be at least 8 hours.

What are the MediSave surgical limits?

Each operation falls into a TOSP table from 1A to 7C, with limits from S$240 to S$5,290. With more than one operation, the total is capped at S$5,290.

How much MediSave can I use for giving birth?

The daily limits for the stay, plus S$1,120 for a natural delivery, S$2,380 for a caesarean or S$2,440 for a complicated caesarean. Up to S$900 more covers care before the birth.

What is Flexi-MediSave?

S$400 a year from MediSave for outpatient visits at polyclinics, public specialist clinics and CHAS GP clinics, for patients 60 and above. It rose from S$300 on 1 October 2025.

What is MediSave500/700?

S$500 a year for outpatient treatment of 23 chronic conditions, listed vaccinations and screenings, or S$700 for complex conditions. From 1 January 2027 it rises to S$700 and S$1,000.

Can I use MediSave for my parents?

Yes. You can pay for your spouse, children and parents of any nationality, and grandparents or siblings who are citizens or PRs.

How much MediSave can I use for IVF?

S$6,000 for the first cycle, S$5,000 for the second and S$4,000 for later cycles, up to S$15,000 per patient. Only the patient's and spouse's MediSave can be used.

What can MediSave not pay for?

Cosmetic and lifestyle treatment, retail items and anything above the limits. What MediSave does not cover goes to MediShield Life, an Integrated Shield Plan or cash.
